Oh god the Bionicon-chain guide got heavier. Double the weight of the old version! Its now 18 grams instead of 9! A joke then. For 2012 the highly decorated mini chainguide (amongst others two 2011 "Milestone" awards) has been completely renovated. Thanks to a split forging it is even easier to fit on any bike without improvising or splitting the chain. It sits securely and the plastic tube has been constructed so that it can't accidently slip out like the predecessor. After bike-park thrashing we can only nod in agreement and we're still amazed that such a small, light and inconspicuous thing can have such an effect controlling the chain and keeping it on the ring. Ideal for endure riders and light freeride.

Conclusion: small, light, effective, cheap. Super for anyone riding off road.
