Product recall of cartridge fastening bolts for all BIONICON Double Agent forks produced from 2008-2009
In the course of our regular product control we have unfortunately noticed that some cartridge fastening bolts used for production of Double Agent & Double Agent TA forks are of inferior quality. This can pose a risk to the users of our products.
For this reason we are requesting that all owners of a BIONICON full suspension bicycle purchased from 1.6.2008 to 31.12.2009 contact their retailer immediately in order to have the bolts replaced.

The affected bolts were manufactured from an incorrect material which is too hard. If subjected to non-uniform stress the bolts can shear due to the hardness of the material. The bolts are simple to replace, this can be undertaken either by a BIONICON dealer by the owner.

Please contact your Bionicon dealer or Bionicon directly.
We will do our upmost in order to carry out the recall as smoothly as possible. We apologise for any inconvienience caused by the recall.

Many thanks for your support and understanding.

In the following pictures you can see the "faulty" set-up in the upper picture. If the bolts look like this on your bike please have your dealer replace them. The lower picture shows the fastening bolts after modification. Please tighten the bolt with maximum 6 Nm.
