01 BIKE and FREERIDE Milestone

We knew all along that our c.guide is a great product, after all we spent a long time developing and testing it. But now we’ve received your confirmation. The editors of BIKE & FREERIDE nominated our innovative chainguide, the readers voted furiously. So we are now the proud owners of two Milestone awards. Many thanks from the Bionicon team.

02 Most innovative manufacturer – five times in a row

Every year Europe’s biggest MTB magazine, BIKE holds a reader survey. Various categories are created for the public to vote for. Bionicon has been declared the most innovative bike brand for the 5th year running! We’re proud about this too and would like to thanks the readers of BIKE.

03 c.guide v.02

Photos of the early prototypes have been circulated on some internet sites, speculation was rife. Now the secret is out and we present the c.guide v.02 a major refinement of our already successful c.guide. The most important facts:
_ two piece construction – fitting without removing the gear cable or breaking the chain is now possible.
_ universal hinge – special adapter allows fitting to bikes without a gear cable running under the chainstay.
_ glide tube pivot – less wear as the tube follows the chain line/angle
_ minimal weight ca. 19 grams
_ multicolour – six colours available (black, red, blue, green, pink, gold)
_ even better value – more function – same price
The c.guide v.02 is available from the end 2011/start 2012. Each guide contains the chain guide, universal cable hinge kit, 2 zip ties and fitting instructions.

04 Deep Forest Collection

Following this year’s success we’ve extended our existing Riding Wear collection with a further colour world called Deep Forest. The Deep Forest Collection takes inspiration from the warm autumnal colours and adds strong contrasts such as red and aubergine. The women’s and men’s collection consists of short and longarm shirts from finest quality merino wool, an innovative hybrid hoody, our high end softshell shorts and a softshell jacket. Everyone will have a favourite piece, you can find an overview here:

05 New colours

We’ve fitted 3 bike models with a fresh colour scheme for 2012. The Alva160air gets an additional colour choice of grey-green and Caribbean blue. Like it’s green-white partner in crime a real looker with numerous graphic details to discover. The proven classic Edison is now available in a cool white-green / pale grey version. Once again this colour complements rather than replacing the existing colour options. In a league of its own the Ironwood – no other bike struggles to find an appropriate category – long travel enduro, freeride tourer, backcountry explorer. All and none are exact. Now available as a frame-kit incl. BIONICON system in a purple-violet-combination and equipped with our 180mm Doubleagent fork.
