Every year the editors of the British magazine Singletrack nominate their favourite products of the past year. Mark Alker (co-founder of Singletrack) chose the Bionicon Edison Ltd on behalf of his son Sam. He spent a long time searching for a bike which would last longer than one season. Anyone who has children will be familiar with the problem – they keep growing at a rapid rate. Purchase decisions are often based on price so just when you’re trying to excite your offspring about your hobby you don’t want to ruin their fun with low quality equipment. That’s where our bike comes in: first of all there are very few bikes on the market in size Small which combine 140mm rear and 160mm front suspension with a low stand-over height. Riders of 1.50m can get both feet on the ground with the Edison Ltd - a big bonus in inspiring new riders with confidence. Further advantages are the infinitely adjustable reach and angle of our Twin Lock stem/handlebar system. With two mounting positions the effective top tube reach can be varied by up-to 75mm allowing the bike to grow with your child. This helps redeem the purchase price and your child has top quality kit from the word go. You can read the full report here as a download. [PDF ca. 2MB]. |
