Our mountainbikes are performance machines for off-road terrain. When commuting to work or visiting friends you might have other priorities than optimum damping curves. More likely you just want to get from a-to-b avoiding traffic jams with a stylish, functional bike. We've been observing city dwellers in their chosen habitat and have identified two breeds of cyclists. One wants to get to work, college or school as quickly as possible with the least amount of fuss. The other needs a utility machine to transport stuff and go for non-lactic-acid-inducing rides in and out of town. We developed the Urban Road and Urban Cargo to meet these needs. But it's not just city people who are different from one another: each city itself has a unique topography and infrastructure. The common denominator is the queue of cars and it is this which feeds us with new ideas for metro cycling.
